SEASIDE HOUSE - RHYLL

This house, for a couple with professional interests in writing, painting and ornithology, is carefully angled towards the north for views and Winter sun. The extensive windows and elevated viewing deck take advantage of magnificent views over wetlands and mangroves to Westernport Bay.

The sculpural form of the house was an important consideration as the house is isolated and visible from each direction.

Materials:

  • Ground slab
  • Vertical plywood external cladding
  • Colorbond roof
  • Insulated walls and ceilings
